Help us get Art and School Supplies

Vision

For students to return to school, they need the essentials to start learning again. This project aims to equip every student at Cornwall Mountain school with the materials and uniforms that are typically purchased by parents in the fall, but that have been damaged or destroyed by hurricane Melissa.

Background

The parents of students at Cornwall Mountain Primary and Infant School purchase supplies, books, and other materials when they send their children off to school in September. Hurricane Melissa has destroyed all of these items and parents, who are struggling to make ends meet after the devastation, need your help to equip the students to return!

Rollout

The Hugh James Foundation has been supporting the needs of students at the Cornwall Mountain Primary and Infant school for years. Learn more about us at The Hugh James Foundation

Working with the school administration and teachers, we will use the reading list information that is typically provided to parents ahead of the school year to establish the exact contents of each student’s return to school package.

Impact

Some supplies will be sourced directly in bulk, some will be purchased directly by parents through gift vouchers for one of the major bookstores, and some uniform items may require custom arrangements.
